There is disappointing news for prospective customers of the recently announced LG Nexus 4 in the UK, at least for those not looking to buy it from retailer O2, as the operator has told Pocket-Lint that the Nexus 4 will be exclusive to O2 for the first month after it is launched in the UK on November 13th.
The first 100 buyers of the Nexus 4 from O2 will also get a free LG TV, and O2 will also be letting brave users climb to the top of the O2 Arena in Greenwich, where they will be able to buy the Nexus 4 while overlooking the London skyline (better to give it to successful climbers for free, no?).
The Nexus 4 sports a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 4.7″ True HD IPS+ display (protected by Gorilla Glass, a first for a Nexus device), 8 megapixel camera with 360 degrees panoramic capabilities, 8GB/16GB storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA, and a 2100 mAh battery and inbuilt wireless charging. The Nexus 4 will also run Android 4.2, which brings new features such as Gesture Typing, Daydream, an updated and more knowledgeable Google Now, and more.
The LG Nexus 4 will be priced at £239/£279 for the unlocked 8/16GB models, and we’ll be sure to let you know when O2 announces further details on this offer, because it is not every day that you get a free TV with a smartphone, right?
