Android 8.0 Oreo is out for the U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 8.

After rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to Galaxy Note 8 users in Europe, Asia and those using carrier-variants in the U.S., Samsung has kicked off the OTA rollout for unlocked Galaxy Note 8 handsets in the U.S.

Unlike in the past where it took ages before unlocked handsets got a new OS upgrade, Samsung has shaken things up recently, which is why we are talking about Oreo for the unlocked Note 8 only days after the OS started rolling out in the U.S.

Since it’s a major OS upgrade, it weighs about 1.2GB and thus you’ll need a stable Wi-Fi connection to download it. The update is rolling out over the air, which means it’ll take a few days before every unlocked Galaxy Note 8 user gets the OTA notification.
