If you are into rooting and custom ROMs and stuff, you sure have a good idea of what the TWRP recovery is, and what it does. You may also be well acquainted the with TWRP’s inability to decrypt system, one of the biggest problems when installing TWRP without falling into the trap of bootlooping.
But guess what, that problem with decryption is a thing of a past now. As revealed by Ethan Tonker (Dees Troy), lead developer on the TWRP project, a new version of TWRP recovery is available as 3.2.3-1 that is capable of decrypting the system partition on Android 9 Pie OS.
TWRP 3.2.3-1 is already available for download for the Pixel handsets, the Pixel 1 and Pixel 2 sets, and should be supporting the next one, Pixel 3, right out off the bat too.
