Ever been in a situation when you unknowingly flashed a firmware meant for 32GB variant of a device to its 64GB variant, and then ended up with only 32GB of available storage space while the device actually has 64GB of storage? Well, this happens quite a lot these days, especially among Nexus users while they flash a Factory image.

Thanks to TeamWin TWRP recovery version 2.8.7.0, this issue of incorrect available storage space on a device can now be fixed with “resize2fs” — a new feature in TWRP recovery that restores your device storage capability to its full potential, saving you the trouble of finding a firmware for your particular XXGB variant to get the right storage space.

TWRP 2.8.7.0 also brings a number of other fixes and improvements, check the full changelog below:

  • Initial ground work for software drawn keyboard (_that)
  • Fix handling of wiping internal storage on datamedia devices (xuefer)
