HTC’s 2017 flagship smartphone, the HTC U11 which was launched just a few days ago, is one of the most unusual smartphones we’ve ever seen, thanks to the squeezable bezels which HTC likes to call Edge Sense. The phone has been launched in five color options of Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red with a glossy and shining back. Now, painting a flagship phone with 5 different color brushes may provide adequate choices for consumers, but we do not mind seeing it in more quirky hues. Satiating our curiosity are a bunch of HTC U11 images posted on Weibo in green, pink and gray colors.
These HTC U11 painted in the three new colors are photoshopped versions. In all honesty, the green U11 with the shining back just melts our heart and we would give anything to see HTC bring this color to its flagship phone. Equally stunning is the pink version while the gray looks just about average.

Having marveled at these photoshopped HTC U11 images, we do like to admit that the official colors in which the phone has been released are also head turners. It’s not only the colors that do the trick for this impressive piece of device. But it is also loaded with a truck load of flagship features which has brought HTC back in the game giving it a strong hand to compete against the likes of Samsung.
HTC has endowed U11 with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with IP67-rated dust- and water- resistance. It carries top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor paired with either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The software runs Android 7.1 Nougat.

Now while these are some of the specifications all flagship phones will carry, camera is where HTC U11 scores over its competitors. There’s a 12MP UltraPixel3 rear camera with features such as f / 1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization and dual LED. In the front sits a 16MP selfie shooter. But these gets augmented when attached with a score of 90 by DxOMark which is more than the Google Pixel’s 89 and also Samsung Galaxy S8’s 88 score.
Other features include a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, latest BoomSound HiFi tech and 3D audio recording. Of course, there’s the Edge Sense and AI assistants. The latter has been pluralized as HTC U11 not only includes its own Sense Companion but also Google Assistant as well as Amazon’s Alexa. So, users get the option to use any of these.
