And just like that, the Sharp Aquos Z3 has become official. Just yesterday the device appeared on GFXBench and revealed its specs, and now it’s been announced. The smartphone is priced at NT$ 1,3990, which is around $462.
It appears that the Aquos Z3 is mainly aimed at the Taiwanese market. It features an all metal body and is only available in Champagne Gold color. This is the successor to the Aquos Z2 that was released last year.
As revealed by the GFXBench listing, the Aquos Z3 has some pretty good hardware. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch QuadHD display, a Snapdragon 652 processor, and 4GB of RAM. There’s 64GB of onboard storage, a 3100 mAh battery, and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The front of the device has a fingerprint sensor embedded within the rather slim Home button. At the back, there’s a 16MP camera with OIS, PDAF, and dual LED flash. For the selfie lovers, the phone has a 13MP front camera with PDAF and 80 degree angle of view. If you’re in Taiwan, you will be able to purchase the Sharp Aquos Z3 from April 15th on-wards.
