The Galaxy Note 8 to feature horizontal dual camera layout, renders leak online too

Galaxy Note 8

Update [June 27, 2017]: Here’s even better look at what the Galaxy Note 8 could like in real with the horizontal dual camera and fingerprint scanner on the back. (Source: Weibo)

Guess what? According to a new leak, the Galaxy Note 8 could feature a horizontal dual camera setup on the back as opposed to the earlier leaks. And here’s the potential bad news: the fingerprint sensor could be placed alongside the camera module and not below it.

If this render comes anywhere close to reality, it would definitely be a bummer to see the fingerprint sensor placed in such position. It will be more out of reach than it already is on the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

To reiterate, this leak is against all the other leaks we’ve seen so far. In fact, only yesterday a new render surfaced online showing the Note 8 in different angles. Like the previous rumors, it also had a vertically placed dual camera setup on the back below which is the fingerprint scanner.

And, after all the criticism the Samsung received for such awkward placement of the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S8 and S8+, we don’t see the horizontal dual camera happening. So, we would recommend you to take this piece with a huge pinch of salt.
