Telus is pushing out a new firmware update for Samsung and Blackberry devices which is currently being rolled out to users as we speak. The devices which are receiving the updates are Galaxy S5 Neo and BlackBerry DTEK50.

Both the devices on the Canadian carrier started receiving the software updates on January 30. The Galaxy S5 Neo users got IPv6 fixes along with monthly security update.

On the other hand, the BlackBerry DTEK50, mentioned above, received a security update which installs the January security patch.

Notably, Telus has also just released bug fixes and security updates to Nexus 6, Moto Z Play, Moto Z, and the Moto E.

The updates being OTA should be hitting your devices on its own anytime soon. Not one to wait for things? You can manually check for it using the Settings app. A point of reminder here for you. Before initiating the download, do ensure your device is at least 50 percent charged and connected to WiFi.
