Canadian carrier Telus has made some interesting updates to its software updates page in regards to several Samsung and BlackBerry phones.

Beginning September 4th, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will receive an update that enables the Wi-Fi Calling feature on the carrier. While Android Oreo has been available for the Galaxy A8 for some time now, it’s just arriving on Telus variants. Apparently, those using the BlackBerry KEYone and Motion should have already started receiving the Oreo update as from August 23, which is last week.

These are airborne updates and will take time before everyone receives the OTA notification. If you are yet to see one, especially for the BlackBerry duo, the wait shouldn’t go past this week. As for the Samsung Galaxy A8, the rollout could stretch deep into next week, so sit tight.
