OnePlus is quite popular in the U.S., but the company’s model of selling its smartphones stateside hasn’t been so favorable in a market that is controlled by carriers. However, this is about to change beginning this October, according to a new report.

The report by CNET claims that OnePlus is working with T-Mobile to bring the OnePlus 6T to the U.S. – a deal that would be the first in the country to involve OnePlus. All of OnePlus’ smartphones (past and present) are compatible with T-Mobile (and AT&T for that matter), but you won’t even find the latest of them, the OnePlus 6, in the carrier’s store.

Apparently, the OnePlus 6T variant that will be sold through T-Mobile will be slightly different from the global variant with tweaks and optimizations to better perform on the carrier’s network. However, like we’ve seen before, the 6T will get a price hike and come valued at about $550, which would be about $20 more than the base model of the current OnePlus 6.

Still, the report says nothing has been finalized yet and just in case there are more delays related to technical approval, the expected October launch could be pushed back. On the other hand, we’ve gotten used to a T variant coming around in November, which is when we expect most markets to receive the 6T.
