As Google began the month with its very own November security update, Android OEMs have been preparing their very own version of the update for their devices. As the hierarchy goes, the premium devices under each of the Android OEM brands get the update first, which seems to be the case for the Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus on T-Mobile.
Carrying build number G965USQU3BRJ5 for the Galaxy S9 Plus and G960USQU3BRJ5 for the Galaxy S9, which brings up the security version to November 2018. However, that doesn’t seem to be the only upgrade that the new software version is bringing to the flagship devices, as the changelog mentions “Wi-Fi enhancements and bug fixes” along with “various bug fixes and system improvements”.

Apart from the flagship couple, the older phablet from last year is also being updated to the latest security level for November. The T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 carrying build number N950USQS5CRJ3 across the United States as an OTA update. According to the official changelog, the update brings along “various bug fixes and system improvements”.
However, don’t expect any new features to roll out, as it seems to be just a regulatory update. If you don’t receive the OTA update notification automatically, you can check for it manually by heading over to Settings – About phone – Software information.
