T-Mobile releases OTA update for Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ to fix issues in making call

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ on T-Mobile carrier are receiving a new firmware update. The update brings with it a fix for intermittent call failure issue.

Galaxy Note 5 is receiving the firmware update as build number N920TUVU4EQE1 while it is hitting S6 Edge+ units as build number G928TUVU4EQE1. With this update, the users of these two smartphones will no longer face the problem of call failure.

Other than the call failure fix, the changelog also mentions the update of bringing Android 7.0 Nougat for users on DQC2 build. Notably, the earlier software build on Note 5 was G928TUVU4EQC6 while that on S6 Edge+ was N920TUVU4EQC6.

The update is being rolled out over the air and may take a while to hit your phone. In case, waiting is not one of your virtues, you can check for it manually as well by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. Before hitting the download button, make sure that your Galaxy smartphone is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network.
