After getting announced in late October, OnePlus 6T has received quite a few updates already, addressing issues in its features like the in-display fingerprint sensor, Nightscape mode and so on. However, T-Mobile users didn’t have the luxury to download those earlier updates because of certification differences compared to unlocked phones. But T-Mobile users of OnePlus 6T finally have a reason to rejoice!
According to the information provided by TmoNews, T-Mobile has started releasing an OTA update with software version: A6013_34_181029 with a download size of 132.3MB that improves several of the phone’s features like the phone’s in-display fingerprint scanner and Nightscape mode. It is also reported that the update equips the phone with November Android security patch.
While the news of this update is yet to feature on T-Mobile’s website, users who have already downloaded the update report that Nightscape mode, a camera feature used to capture images in low-light conditions, has been fine-tuned and same is the case with the in-display fingerprint scanner which comes with Gesture Mode 2.0 and the latest version of Unlock app.

You should be receiving a notification regarding the update on your phone and in case you haven’t, you can go to “Settings”, then tap on “System”, followed by “System update” and finally “Check for update” to view the available update. Once you’ve downloaded the update through a stable Wi-Fi connection, simply click on “Install Now” and the phone will do the rest itself.
