T-Mobile seems to be having an action packed day,  first with shipping label pics of T-Mobile store bound Galaxy Note 2 demo devices being uncovered, and now, news of another demo device hitting the T-Mobile stores. Well, the second device is none other than the T-Mobile LG Optimus L9.

While the Optimus L9 may not be in the same league of the Galaxy Note 2, it is still an excellent mid-range Android handset, well suited for those who need a feature-packed device, but can do without the power that a Galaxy Note 2 or a Galaxy S3 would pack.

Earlier this week, we had also written about a leaked pricing list from Walmart, which covered Tmo’s fall lineup, and the Optimus L9, along with the Galaxy Note 2 were conspicuously present on that list. If the pricing on that list is any indication, we could be looking at a $0.97 pricing for the LG Optimus L9 on a standard 2 year contract, which practically makes it free. For next to nothing, the device is pretty impressive for a mid-range handset. Check out the official specs:

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4.5-inch qHD Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 Display
  • T-Mobile 4G LTE support
  • 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor
  • 5-megapixel Rear camera / VGA Front Camera
  • 1080p HD Recording capable
  • 4 GB internal storage / expandable microSD slot
  • Long-Lasting 2,150 mAh Battery
  • Wi-Fi calling

Not bad for a free phone, eh? Though the official release date was not confirmed by TMo, we suspect it to be somewhere around October 30th,  after T-Mobile’s product launch event on October 29th.
