LG G4 units on T-Mobile network are receiving a new firmware update. The update arrives with monthly security patch and most importantly a fix for E911 issue.

LG G4 on the Magenta carrier is receiving the firmware update as software version H81120v. The changelog mentions the update of installing Google monthly security enhancements which could be April or May. We also find a fix for e911 timer in the update.

The update is rolling out over the air. But if you want to check for it manually, tap Settings > About device > System updates. Do get connected to a WiFi network before starting the download and ensure that your phone is over 50 percent charged.

Sadly, this flagship product from LG is yet to receive the Nougat update and still runs Android Marshmallow. However, as per a past official statement from LG, G4 will be bumped up to Nougat sometime in the third quarter of this year. Now that’s a long wait.
