The Nougat update for the unlocked Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has been circulating around for quite a while. Now, it’s time for the locked units on T-Mobile to get a taste of the latest OS and its goodies. The carrier has started pushing the Android 7.0 Nougat to Galaxy S7 Edge, with the S7 slated to join the league much sooner than later.
The Magenta carrier has commenced the Nougat update by seeding it out to those Galaxy S7 Edge devices which were already running Nougat beta software. Arriving as version G935TUVU4BQB1, the Android 7.0 Nougat update weighs 116.64MB.
And as for Galaxy S7, the version should be G930TUVU4BQB1 when rolled out, which we assume will be pretty soon.

The OS upgrade, as seen in the changelog above, brings improved notification features, multi-window usability, and enhanced menu options amongst others. It also provides new UX and performance modes.
The update, which should take approx 10 minutes, brings the latest February security patch as well. To download it, head to Settings>Software Update>Software Manual Download. But before that, ensure that your phone is properly charged and connected to a WiFi network.
