Telecom major T-Mobile had decided last year to bring into the market its own line of smartphones that came bundled with their line. This is when they came up with REVVL and REVVL Plus in the final quarter of last year. Their successors this year have been named REVVL 2 and REVVL 2 Plus respectively, meaning REVVL is going to be a series after all.
The company’s tagline is “flagship features without the flagship price” but this couldn’t be further from the truth as the phones being discussed sport the specifications of low-mid range phones. Sure, T-Mobile isn’t charging a lot for these phones but by no means can these phones be called flagship level.
The REVVL 2 comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by MediaTek MT6739 processor and has IP52 dust and water resistance certification too. As for memory, it comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM which can be expanded up to 128GB through a micro SD card. The REVVL 2 sports an 8MP rear camera as well as a 13MP front-facing snapper. It runs on Android Oreo and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery.
The REVVL 2 Plus sports a bigger and better 6-inch FHD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. However, it is also powered by the same MediaTek MT 6739 processor and has the same IP52 dust and water resistance certification. It does have a bigger 3GB RAM but the same 32GB ROM that can be expanded up to 128 GB via a micro SD card.
The REVVL 2 Plus sports a dual front-camera setup in the form of 12MP+2MP sensors but the same 8MP singular rear camera that we see in the cheaper version. It also runs on Android Oreo and is fueled by a significantly larger 4000mAh battery.
Coming to the price, the REVVL 2 can be had for free if you are adding a new line, but you can also opt for a monthly payment of $7 for 24 months. The retail price of the REVVL 2 is $168.
As regards the REVVL 2 Plus, its retail price runs at $252, but if you want installments, you can opt for $10.50 monthly payment for 24 months. However, if you are getting a new line, REVVL 2 would cost you $84 only, or 24 monthly payments of $3.50.
Both the phones will go on sale online and in T-Mobile stores on November 16.
