T-Mobile becomes the last major U.S. carrier to roll out 5G services beginning June 28, 2019. To kick start this journey, the carrier will have the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G in store on this very day, but as expected, the network is still limited to select markets.
On Friday, those in some parts of Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York will be able to connect their Galaxy S10 5G handsets to T-Mobile 5G. The carrier has promised to roll out its 5G coverage in more cities later this year.
Apparently, T-Mobile 5G will be available in pockets of select cities mentioned above, but the carrier is also quick to note that performance when indoors won’t be great.
As a result, your device will always fall back to 4G LTE whenever 5G isn’t in range. You can check out more details and coverage map here.
