At the moment, word about when the same update will be released for the special edition Redmi Note 3 remains unclear. Interestingly, it has been close to a month since Xiaomi released an MIUI 10 beta update for the variant that is now receiving the stable update dating back to November 22, but the special edition is now on the latest MIUI 10 beta 8.12.13. The stable update for the latter model should begin rolling out pretty soon.
The MIUI 10.1.1 OTA for the Redmi Note 3 is available to a handful of units, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days. Of course, the OS version still remains at Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but you can always hunt places like XDA developers for Nougat, Oreo or even Android Pie-based custom ROMs. Also, you can keep an eye on our Redmi Note 3 software update page for related news.
