Sprint releases Nougat update for Galaxy Note 5

Sprint Galaxy Note 5 owners will be delighted to know that their device is finally being updated to Android 7.0 Nougat. Sprint is currently seeding the update over the air for all users.

The Nougat update for Sprint Galaxy Note 5 carries the software version N920PVPU3DQC5 and weighs about 1.4GB in size. The update will also install the latest March Android security patch on the device.

Other Galaxy Note 5 variants have already received the Nougat update, the latest recipient being the dual SIM version. This is a big update, and brings about a lot of changes and improvements. You get better notifications, improved battery saving, multi-window mode, and a lot more.

As usual, make sure your device has more than 50 percent battery life before installing the update. To avoid data charges, it is better to download the large update over a Wi-Fi connection. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can head over to Settings > About device > System updates on your phone to check for it manually.
