HTC One M9 users on Sprint are up for a sweet surprise today as the carrier has rolled out the Nougat update to its users over-the-air (OTA). This comes just a couple of weeks after T-Mobile pushed the Nougat update for the One M9 on in its network.
Arriving with the build 4.27.651.4, the OTA weighs in at 1.02GB in size. As mentioned above, it installs the Android 7.0 Nougat on the smartphone which means you’ll get lots of cool features like split-screen multitasking, improved Doze mode, revamped notification panel, and rethought-out Settings app; besides the tons of under the hood improvements that make system more stable than ever.
Besides, the OTA also installs the monthly security patch for February along with enhancements in the system performance.

Sprint has already pushed the update to its One M9 users. But, since it is arriving as an OTA, you may or may not receive the update notification instantly. To check for it manually, visit Settings > About device > Software updates.
As usual, make sure your device has enough battery life, at least 60% before installing the update. And while you are at it, switch to a Wi-Fi network to avoid extra data charges.
