Sprint Note Edge is receiving a minor OTA update with firmware build N915PVPU4COJ5. As per the official changelog, the update carries the following changes:

  • Google Security Patches
  • Minor UI updates

The Google security patches here should be related to the November security update that Google released a few days before to Nexus devices.

However, the “Minor UI updates” are unknown at the moment. If you happen to own the device, and have the update installed, do let us know if you notice any UI updates.

The OTA update is already on the roll and you should receive it by now. In case you haven’t received the OJ5 OTA yet, you can manually check for it from Settings > About phone > Software updates section.

Note: If you’re rooted, this N915PVPU4COJ5 firmware build might not root with the current methods. If you can wait, we would recommend you to install the new firmware only after root access is verified on the update (OJ5).

Happy Androiding!
