The Sprint Galaxy Note 4 Android 5.1.1 update is now finally rolling out with build number  N910PVPU4COG5. Before this, the carrier rolled out the 5.1.1 update to the Note Edge variant of the device.

Sprint is yet to make any official announcement for the Note 4 5.1.1 OTA update, but thanks to Yoshi1221 over at XDA who shared the screenshot of the update’s changelog which shows quite a few bug fixes and improvements/enhancements, however, funnily enough, Sprint failed to mention that this is an Android 5.1.1 OS upgrade in the changelog.

The OTA update is 615 MB in size and is rolling out to all Sprint Note 4 users. If you haven’t gotten the update notification yet, manually check for it from Settings > About phone > Software updates section on your device.

Before you install the OTA, know that installing the Android 5.1.1 update on your Sprint Note 4 will upgrade the bootloader on your device, meaning you won’t be able to roll back Android 5.0 version if you install this OG5 update.

Also, the 5.1.1 OG5 update will break root access on your device and might break TWRP recovery as well. If you’re in no hurry to update to 5.1.1, we’d suggest you to wait for a few days before the community figures out a way to safely update Sprint Note 4 to 5.1.1 OG5 along with root.
