A small but kind-of must-have update has hit the roll out phase for Sprint LG G3, which fixes the Stagefright bug on the device and updates the software version to LS990ZVB.
There is nothing else as per changelog, but given how easy it’s to hack an Android device using Stagefright, you shouldn’t be ignoring this update at all. Unlike Sprint Galaxy Tab 4 Android 5.1.1 update, this is pretty small update.
You might need to unroot your device first in order to install this update. If you have rooted, that is. Also, you are gonna need stock recovery for this, a mention for those who are currently rocking TWRP on the device.
Once again, don’t expect any performance boosts or UI improvements from the update, but don’t ignore the update only because you’re getting any such stuff, either.
On similar notes, Sprint rollout out update for G Stylo, G3 Vigor and Tribute three days ago.
