Sprint LG G3 and T-Mobile LG Leon receiving Stagefright fix OTA updates

Sprint LG G3 is now finally receiving a OTA update with a patch for “critical security vulnerability” (‘Stagefright’). The OTA update will bump up your device software version to LS990ZVB.

Also, on T-Mobile, the LG Leon is receiving the Stagefright vulnerability patch with software version H34510f.

If you own either of the devices, but haven’t yet received the OTA update notification. You can manually check for the update from Settings » About phone » Software updates section.

For the unknown, Stagefright is a critical security bug on Android that lets a hacker gain almost complete access to your device (even camera and microphone) by simply sending you a MMS message that you may not even notice. We strongly recommend you to install this OTA update for security.
