Sprint has finally fixed the Stagefright bug on its HTC One M9, and the software version that brings home the patch is 2.11.651.19. That apart, Sprint’s own Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 sets are also in for the monthly security OTA update from Google, as the company promised earlier.

Yesterday, T-Mobile’s Nexus devices also received similar monthly security patch update too. There is nothing else in the changelog for all three devices, so that’s that.

You should be receiving an OTA notification any time now if you are using Sprint HTC One M9. Or Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. But in case you don’t, try to force the update by tapping on ‘check for update’ button under Settings > About device > Software info > System update.

Note that in case you have rooted your device, installing the update will unroot it. Also, you will need default stock recovery for this. If you install custom recovery like TWRP, you will need to install the stock recovery back.
