Sprint Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Note 5 receive an OTA update with February security patch

New software updates are available for the Sprint variants of the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the Note 5. If you’re on Sprint and own one of these devices, make sure you download the latest update.

First up, the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6, which gets the new software version G920PVPS4CQB1 with the latest February Android security patch. The update was released yesterday and is being delivered in stages, therefore, it may take a few days to be available for all users.

Second, the Sprint S6 Edge received the same update with the February security patch. The software version for the S6 Edge is G925PVPS4CQB1 and it is available as an OTA. Finally, the Sprint Galaxy Note 5 received the security update that installs the February Android security patch. The software version for the Note 5 is N920PVPS3BQB1.

As mentioned above, the updates are being rolled out in stages, so don’t worry if you haven’t got it yet. It may take a few more days to appear on your device, but you can always check for it manually via the Settings app. When installing, make sure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to a strong WiFi network.
