The Spring Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge have started to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. As you can see from the screenshot above, the update is available as an OTA.

Samsung had officially started the roll-out of Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in March. However, carriers usually take a little longer to finish testing of the software. Still, it’s better late than never.

Users of the Sprint Galaxy S6 are getting the software update carrying the build number G920PVPU4DQC7, whereas the build number for the Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge update is G925PVPU4DQC7. The update weighs around 1 GB, so make sure you’re connected to a stable WiFi network before downloading it.

Apart from bringing new features and a new UX to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the update will also install the latest Android security patch on the devices. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, you can check for it manually in Settings.
