Sprint Galaxy S6 and S6 edge Android 5.1.1 rolling out, build G920PVPU2B0F7 and G925PVPU2B0F7

Sprint Galaxy S6 and S6 edge Android 5.1.1 OTA update is now rolling out. The update is coming with build number G920PVPU2B0F7 (S6) and G925PVPU2B0F7 (S6 edge) and is roughly 568 MB in size.

The OTA update is available readily for download and install. If you haven’t received an update notification yet on your device, you may want to check for it manually from your phone’s Settings » About phone » Software update section.

As for the full Odin flashable firmware, well, it’s not available yet but it should soon come (either in a few hours or a few days). Also, know that installing the OTA update will upgrade the bootloader on your device and this time, it won’t be downgrade-able. So, just in case if you wish to downgrade back to Android 5.0.2 for Ping Pong Root, then that won’t be possible if you update your device to Android 5.1.1 from the OTA update.

If root and downgrade option is something you care about, then we’d recommend you to NOT install the OTA update and wait for the full firmware (.tar) to arrive so that you can selectively update your phone to Android 5.1.1 using the FlashFire app and preserve Android 5.0.2 bootloader on your device.
