Sprint just put the word out about its Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Android 5.0 Lollipop update, that it’s releasing the update starting today, and that the build no. of the said 5.0 update is N915PVPU0AOC8. It’s expected to reach the Sprint’s Note Edge users in stages, over the coming few days gradually. If you own a Galaxy Note Edge at Sprint, you can expect your device to knock a notification about the OTA update in few days.

Sprint did share a changelog, and the Android 5.0 OS dominates that. Besides, you also get the Factory Reset protection with the N915PVPU0AOC8 update, while there are some quality additions done to Wi-Fi calling. That’s it as far as official changelog goes, we’ll be sure to let you know other changes that we may come across.

You can go ahead and try to force the update yourself. Just go to Settings – About phone – Software update, and then tap on check for update. It may show that the update is available if you’re lucky, otherwise you’ll have to wait.

We’d be sure to share the OTA for manual installation as and when it’s available, keep watching this space.

Thanks James!
