Sprint Galaxy Note 7 update brings battery optimizations and Wi-Fi calling settings (PH9 build)

A new update is being pushed out to Note 7 users at Sprint that brings settings for Wi-Fi calling to the device, and could help reduce the battery drain on the device with optimizations built into it.

You are looking at software version PH9, or N930PVPU1APH9, based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and is sized around 251 MB. You and us can hope for Nougat update as much as we want but we know it’s not releasing anytime soon.

Other items on the PH9 changelog include latest security patches, device stability improvements, better performance and some more new and/or enhance features.

To go for the update, head into Settings, and look for System update. Use the ‘check for update’ button to see if your Sprint Note 7 is eligible already or not. Sure smash that button repeatedly until it is.
