After Sony Xperia XZ1 image renders surfaced online yesterday, we now have another leak. But this time around, it’s the Xperia XZ1 Compact in action.

As you can see from the image above, the smartphone will have a design quite similar to the Xperia XZ1 except it will be fairly smaller. The phone sports an all-metal unibody design with the camera (front), earpiece, and other sensors resting at their usual positions, i.e., just above the display.

Below the display is what appears to be a cutout for the front-facing speaker. The fingerprint scanner, as usual, is integrated into the power button on the right side located just below the volume rocker. There’s also a dedicated shutter button located towards the bottom of the right side.

While a USB Type-C port and a microphone rest at the bottom of the handset, the 3.5mm headphone jack finds itself a place on the top. On flipping the device backward, you’ll find the rear camera along with LED flash placed adjacent to it.

In terms of specs, the Xperia XZ1 Compact, as the name itself suggests will feature a 4.6-inch HD display at the front. Apparently, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC hooked on to 4GB of RAM.

The device is expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat right away and is believed to draw fuel from a 2,600mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact will be launched alongside the Xperia XZ1 on August 31st, just before IFA 2017 kickstarts in Berlin.
