Sony seems to be working on updating many of their smartphones with new features and bug fixes. Only recently we ran across the 7.0.A.3.197 update getting certification by the PTCRB for the Xperia TX/T, and Sony has already started pushing it to the Xperia TX, at least in Vietnam.

XDA member hhlong89 has uploaded a few screenshots showing off the updated firmware running on his Xperia TX, and mentions that the update brings along a few new features similar to the .195 firmware for the Xperia T. These include Wi-Fi Miracast Screen Mirroring for pushing content to other Miracast-certified devices, Small Apps (widget-like applications that overlay the homescreen and any other application until closed), new media icons, icons for apps in the notifications menu, Extended Standby Mode for extended battery life, and more.

The update should start rolling out in other parts of the world soon, probably in the next few days. Do let us know in the comments if any of you have received the 7.0.A.3.197 update.
