Sony is all set to release two new flagship devices in 2017, although much of it still remains a mystery. Rumors about two new models from Sony surfaced a few months ago, which stated two models, one with a 5.2 inch display and another with a 5.5 inch display. These devices supposedly carried the model number G3121 and G3112.

Now, we have some more details about these upcoming phones that Sony may announce next year. According to a recent leak we received, these phones would be running on the Snapdragon 820 processor. Shocked? Well, we are too.

The SD 820 will be two years old in 2017, so it is not really a good choice for upcoming flagships. If Sony is going to release these devices as flagships, then it would be better to have the latest Snapdragon 835 processor on-board.

This is still only a rumor, so we wouldn’t take it to heart. Sony might include a new processor, as these flagship devices could still be under testing. We have no idea what Sony is up to, but we will probably know more in the coming weeks.
