So it seems that Sony is working on not one, but two phones with super specs and hardware. After seeing multiple leaks for the Sony Yuga, details of another Sony smartphone going by the codename “Odin”, with a 5-inch 1080p display like the Yuga, have shown up.

The Odin seems to share the specs of the Yuga in almost every aspect, including the quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, or the 1080p display. The leaked details mention that the Odin won’t be waterproof or dustproof, but that isn’t something we expect in high-end droids anyway. Other details such as the camera or what version of Android the Odin will be running aren’t available yet, but let us just go with a 13/16 megapixel camera and Android 4.2 just like the Yuga for now.

Oh, and if a 5-inch 1080p display is somehow too small for you, the leak mentions that there will also be a gigantic 6-inch phone/tablet version of the Odin carrying the same specs, meaning we could be seeing Sony taking inspiration from Samsung and trying to make a phablet device similar to the Galaxy Note 2.

At the end of the day, the verdict is this: Sony is working on at least one beast of an Android phone and is looking to get back into the game to go head-to-head with high-end devices from other manufacturers. Bring it on Sony, more choices in beastly smartphones is always good for us customers.
