A new Sharp phone is in the works and it seems to have decent modern processing power in tow. Dubbed as Sharp FS8016, its Geekbench listing reveals presence of Snapdragon 660 processor on-board, along with 4GB RAM.

The Sharp FS8016 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which basically means that it is going to be one of the best budget level smartphones in near future. FYI, there aren’t many smartphones available in the market today that get you SD660 chipset, as there is only one handset available that is powered by the cool SD660 processor, and it’s Oppo R11.

Apart from RAM, processor and Android OS in use on the Sharp FS8016, we don’t know much else about it.

Sharp made news a few years ago with its Aquos Crystal and the company now has yet another new bezel-less device in the works. The Japanese OEM recently released the Aquos R which served as its flagship. This year may turn out to be really good, with a flagship and a bezel-less device to compete with the likes of Samsung and LG.

Sharp may not have quite a presence in the Android space, but the company does know how to push boundaries that other OEMs have hesitated.
