The latest device that is passing through the FCC is Samsung’s upgraded Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 which is a slightly improved version with a different processor running on the 64-bit architecture. Samsung has been testing this new and improved version of the mid size tablet and as it landed at the FCC recently, it looks like it is getting ready for a launch! We might be hearing about this tablet at the upcoming MWC.

Nothing has officially been reported about the tablet. Although there were some rumors that this tablet might include 1.4GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and feature a 10.1-inch display version with the upgraded processor.

Usually, passing through FCC is one of the last stops for a device before it makes its way to a launch. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Samsung made the announcement in the near future. The FCC documentation lists the tablet that was tested by the FCC last month as model number SM-T333, which is the same model number of the device that showed up on Zauba.com in December. So, we might as well be looking at the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 refresh here.

Although this is not going to be a high-end tablet from Samsung, it proves to be a good mid-range one as the price tag will be a bit less expensive compared to Samsung’s top tier offerings. Now that it has passed through the FCC, it won’t be long before it lands in the U.S.
