Samsung releases VR app for Seoul Cancer Hospital

The Cancer Hospital under the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul has announced a new VR app for Android. The app allows users to visit all the main facilities within the hospital in virtual reality.

Of course, you’re going to need a pair of VR goggles such as the Google Daydream, Cardboard, the Samsung Gear VR or other VR headset, to indulge yourself in the tour. The app was developed by the hospital to help patients get an experience.

The app also includes introductions for the medical staff, informative videos about cancer and treatments. The director of the Cancer Hospital, Nam Seok-jin, stated:

The VR app will be useful for helping patients and first-time visitors to the hospital to adapt to an unfamiliar hospital environment. We will continue to develop aggressive services for patients.

The VR app is available for download through the Google Play Store or via the Oculus Store. The app will also work as a regular non VR app for users without a VR headset. Go try it out now.
