Samsung has always been more of a cult brand, attracting customers who have stuck to it through times good and bad, seeing it through its heyday — when the Galaxy S series were all the rage — as well as through the not-so-popular plasticy versions. However with its shift to metal, Samsung seems to be gotten over its crisis point and moving back towards good times. And guess what? Samsung has decided to reward its customers who have remained the most loyal to it through the ages.
Yes sir, from what we last heard via a local newspaper, Samsung Korea offered a free Galaxy S6 to those of its customers, who either bought all Galaxy S-series smartphones or were still using the Galaxy S1. Not only that, but apparently, the customers were also given one year’s worth of free calls on the SK Telecom network. Well, that’s quite generous of Samsung, wouldn’t you say so?
The South Korean company — which made these announcements at an event to reward its faithful customers — further added that while 15 million of its customers had used at least one S-series device — with about 17,000 atill using the S1 — more than 1,600 consumers bought all the 13 Galaxy S-series handsets released in the country, and its these customers who are going to get quite the goodie bag courtesy Samsung Inc.
For those who do not remember, the Galaxy S6 is the newest and the best along Samsung’s smartphone range. The device — which was launched at the MWC this year — features a 64-bit octa-core (quad-core 2.1GHz+ quad-core 1.5GHz) processor along side 3GB of RAM (LPDDR4) with a 16/5 rear/front camera combination. The smartphone, which runs Android 5.0 KitKat, also packs additional perks such as an advanced, integrated fingerprint scanner and free cloud storage.
Well, while Samsung’s ploy will surely please the old and the faithful, its bound to attract some new members to the flock as well.
