The Samsung flagship smartphones Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are the latest ones from the firm that have been gaining a lot of traction lately. While these devices are running on the latest iterations of the Android build, the other Samsung users are eagerly awaiting to know when their device will receive the update.
Samsung has updated its high-end devices to Android Lollipop, but the low-end and mid-range ones are yet to receive the treatment. Though the update is yet to be rolled out to all the devices, Samsung is prepping to roll it to several devices.
As per a report by SamMobile, the South Korean tech titan is working on the Android 5.1 update for its flagship Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Plus. While this may not be a surprise, the vendor is all set to roll out even to the Galaxy Grand Prime. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be rolled out to the Galaxy Core Prime smartphone.
It seems like Samsung has turned its focus towards the mid-range devices that are yet to receive the Android Lollipop update. However, there is no word on when this update will be rolled out.
Also, the Galaxy Note 2 is expected to receive the Android Lollipop build along with the Galaxy Mega 2. For now, there is no confirmation that the phablet will be getting the update and we need to wait to know.
