As part of its monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) process, Samsung is rolling out a maintenance release to some of its high-end smartphones (although unspecified).
The SMR package brings along with it patches from both the Google and Samsung. In case you are wondering, you’ll get Google’s security patches up to July 2017 with the package.
Samsung, meanwhile, is providing 16 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items. This will help the company improve the security of its flagship handsets and inspire some confidence among users.

Do, however, make a note that some of the 16 SVE items may not have been included in this package since some of them have already been included in the previous maintenance release.
