Three Samsung Galaxy smartphone units have started receiving a new software update. The firmware, which is being rolled over the air, installs June security patch on Galaxy J7 Max and J5 Metal as well as on US Cellular Galaxy J3.
Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J5 Metal are receiving the update as build number G615FXXU1AQF4 and J510MNVJU2AQF2 respectively. On the other hand, the update is hitting US Cellular Galaxy J3 units as build number J320R4TYS2AQF1.
The monthly security patch update also includes system improvements and regular bug fixes. Although a minor and regular update, it is highly recommended as it enhances the security of your device.
It may take a while to reach your device, if you haven’t received it yet. Alternately, you can check for it by paying a visit to Settings > About device > System update. Before hitting the download button, it is recommended to charge your smartphone sufficiently and connect it to a WiFi network to avoid extra data charges.
