It sounds pretty strange but Samsung October patch is already out and the likes of Galaxy S7 and Note 7 Galaxy S6 aren’t the first device to flaunt it. Its actually available on lesser mortal like Galaxy Core Prime (Lollipop 5.1.1) and some new devices, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy J7 Prime.
See the image at the top, it shows all the info you need. It’s basically the firmware ending with PJ1 that brings the October patch to these devices.
Software version with link to full build.prop is given below:
- Galaxy A8 – A800IXXU2BPJ1 (build.prop)
- Galaxy J7 Prime – G610FDDU1APJ1 (build.prop)
- Galaxy Core Prime – G361HXXU0APJ1 (build.prop)
We’ll be sure to get you October patch builds for more popular devices like Galaxy S7 and S6 and Note 5, so be sure keep watching this space. Meanwhile, do spend some time at our Samsung Nougat update page to know which devices are getting the Android 7.0 update when. And you know what, it’s already available in unofficial manner for some, find that at our CM14 download page.
