Samsung might showcase foldable smartphone ‘Galaxy X’ prototype at MWC

Taking the tech show altogether to another level, Samsung reportedly will showcase a foldable smartphone protoype at the Mobile World Congress 2017 scheduled to take place later this month in Barcelona. Alongside the foldable device will be a folder panel.

ETnews reported, citing industry sources, that the tech firm will host an exhibition to showcase the next gen smartphone prototype, which however, will be in a private room in the presence of select individuals and clients. (Damned!)

The Korean tech giant will showcase other bendable tech gadgets with both inward- and outward-folding products available for inspection by all attendees. This move is being touted as a safe step taken by Samsung to predict market response and pitch the technology to other device makers at the conference, thus arousing interest in them to place an order through its subsidiary, Samsung Display.
