With only four days left for Galaxy S8 to make its official debut, its detailed specsheet is already known, thanks to the ever flowing leaks and reports. But when it comes to the RAM options, we are slightly confused. However, a new report has surfaced from Korea which removes our confusion. It states that only Galaxy S8 Plus model in Korea will be endowed with a whopping 6GB RAM, refuting past leaks suggesting Galaxy S8 to come with the said RAM capacity.

Past reports have suggested that the 6GB Galaxy S8 Plus models will be made available only in China. This stands to change now as Korean variants will also boast of the 6GB RAM.

Notably, not all Galaxy S8 Plus models in Korea will be equipped with 6GB RAM. To make it clearer, let’s put it this way. Samsung will release Galaxy S8 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. As for Galaxy S8 Plus, there will be two storage options- 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage.

If this report turns out to be true, then Galaxy S8 Plus will be the second Samsung smartphone to boast of 6GB RAM, the first being Galaxy C9 Pro which was launched last year. Samsung has scheduled March 29th for launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus followed by a global release on April 21st.
