Samsung may introduce camera improvements to the S6 with the Android 5.1.1 update

With their sleek, sophisticated look and their plethora of features and the superb camera, the S6 and the S6 Edge are as probably some of the best devices out there. However, the smartphone world is all too fluid for any device to lay hold to such a claim for long without changing and evolving constantly. Samsung is all too familiar with this and that’s probably why barely a month after the devices were unveiled, talk are of a camera update that may be making its way to the S6 with the Android 5.1.1 update.

Although the supposed camera changes were not present on the update that was received by a section of T-mobile users, that isn’t really cause for much worry since the update was probably an unfinished version that was pushed out to users by mistake considering how it was halted soon after release — Hence our hopes for the next android update packing the camera modifications.

As for what the camera changes will entail, we are probably looking at support for the full Google camera API on Lollipop, which will introduce stuff like RAW shooting, shutter speed control, and more.

Well with the LG G4 coming out soon — who as per LG promises, will rival the S6 experience — Samsung would be looking to pack its arsenal with all possible goodies so as to present the S6 in all its glory at the confrontation that will inevitably take place between the two titans.
