What to know
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim rumored for September launch.
- Possible camera upgrade and titanium backplate, and bigger screen.
- Expected to debut in South Korea and China initially.
Tech enthusiasts, get ready! The buzz around Samsung’s next foldable device is growing louder. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is reportedly set to make its grand entrance this September, bringing with it some exciting upgrades.
Word on the street is that Samsung is going to improve the under-display camera game, and finally. The new model might sport a 5MP under-display camera, a step up from the current 4MP, that’s been used since the Galaxy Z Fold 3 of 2021.
But that’s not all. Samsung seems to be taking a page out of Apple’s book with a possible titanium (or steel) backplate. This premium touch could add a dash of luxury to the already sleek device.
As long as the ‘Slim’ label is concerned, Samsung may give us its thinnest foldable phone yet, that’s around 10mm. Bigger 6.5 and 8-inch displays are also in the offing.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is expected to arrive first in South Korea on September 25, according to The Chosun Daily. There’s no word on when the international markets will get it. It’s likely only a matter of time before this slim wonder reaches other shores.
As always with tech rumors, it’s best to take these tidbits with a grain of salt. But one thing’s for sure – Samsung is keeping us on our toes with its foldable innovations. September can’t come soon enough, at least for those in the Asian markets!
