A new software update is being rolled out to the Galaxy Watch 5 that brings not only the run-of-the-mill security patches but also important integration features. With the update, Galaxy Watch 5 gains the ability to display workout metrics on Samsung TVs, Smart Monitors, and projectors released in 2024 and featuring Samsung Daily+.

The integration will let you see your workout data on a larger display, allowing you to view important health metrics such as calories burned, heart rate, etc. without having to keep an eye on the smartwatch.

The update, which is being rolled out to Galaxy Watch 5 Pro as well, comes only a few days after it was released to Galaxy Watch 6, giving it similar functionalities.

The new firmware version can be installed from the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Simply navigate to Watch Settings > Watch software update > Download and install. The download is about 244.14 MB. If you don’t see the available update, you may have to wait a few hours.
