Remember the new trademark names Samsung registered for a seemingly new tablet series, well, it seems the company indeed has some plans. SamMobile have confirmed with their sources that new Samsung tablets by the name Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus are in the making, and the latter may also come with a S Pen (even without belonging to the Note series). However, it might end up being something like the C Pen from Galaxy Tab Active with a more basic functionality.
Both the Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus will come with 4:3 aspect ratio like Apple’s iPad and with 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants, along with similar specifications except for the S Pen on Tab A Plus.
The 8 inch Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1024×768 pixels display resolution, 5MP/2MP camera setup, 16GB internal storage and 4200 mAh battery. While the 9.7 inch variants of both these tablets will feature a larger battery (6,000 mAh), a better processor (Qualcomm APQ8016 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz) and possibly a display with larger resolution too. Also, both of these tablets will come at only 7.4 mm of thickness.
