Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to come out in june, may sport 4 variants

We know that Samsung has been quietly working on the next along the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series — which, supposedly will be thinner than the Apple Ipad Air. However, according to a recent snippet of information that’s floated our way, the device will be released in 4 different variants — namely, Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants of Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, all of which will be unveiled come June across the world.

After the Galaxy S6 series, Samsung is expected to take its metal-working to the S2 as well and the outer layer of the device is expected to be solid metal. The devices will rely on Samsung’s home-grown 64-bit Exynos processor while on the memory front the device packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.

Display wise, we have a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, with a 4:3 screen aspect ratio while the cameras sported pack 8/2.1 MPs of punch on the rear/front sides respectively. The 8 inch model weights only 260 grams in spite of dimensions of 198.2 × 134.5 × 5.4 mm whereas the   9.7-inch model with its larger dimensions of 237.1 × 168.8 × 5.4 mm weights a bit more at 407 grams. Even so, both the devices are quite thin and light.

Well, the new devices along Samsung’s Galaxy S series have been pretty successful. Lets hope Samsung can repeat the feat with its soon-to-come tablets.
